VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Many opportunities exist—both one-time and ongoing — for parents and grandparents to volunteer at Presentation of Mary Academy. By giving of your time and abilities, you will help our school achieve its mission, while experiencing first-hand what sets Presentation of Mary Academy apart. Volunteering is also a great way to get to know other parents, faculty, and staff while making a lasting impact on the School. If you are interested in giving of your time, resources, and talents to the School, we would enjoy hearing from you. Please contact Kim Flint at kflint@pmaschool.org, or call the office at 603-889-6054.

THE PRESENTATION OF MARY ACADEMY ANNUAL FUND

Your gifts to the Annual Fund provide vital support that enables Presentation of Mary to fulfill its mission of providing an excellent Catholic education to all of our students.

As tuition covers only 78% of the cost of educating each student; the Annual Fund helps meet our academic and co-curricular programming costs by supplementing our operating budget.

Unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund allow the Academy to continue meeting its strategic goals—including continuing to enhance the student educational experience, maintaining competitive salaries for our talented faculty and staff, and improving our building needs at the school—while also providing a potential tax benefit for donors.

The school encourages donors to participate by contributing according to their personal financial capability. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference. For more information on the Annual Fund, please contact Donna DesRusseaux in our Business Office at 603-889-6054 opt 4 or by email at ddesruisseaux@pmaschool.org.

DONATE APPRECIATED STOCK

Donations of appreciated securities are recorded as a charitable gift at the appreciated amount. In most cases, the donor will receive a greater tax benefit than if the appreciated securities are sold and the cash is donated. Also, by donating appreciated securities, you can avoid recording a capital gain in the security (assuming the investment has appreciated and that you have held the asset for more than one year). If you would like to donate securities, you can initiate the transfer through your broker and have him/her contact Donna DesRuisseaux at 603-889-6054 opt 4 or ddesruisseaux@pmaschool.org.

CORPORATE MATCHING FUNDS

Many organizations and employers offer corporate matching programs on charitable gifts made by their employees, thus encouraging philanthropic endeavors of their employees. In this way, corporate matching programs allow gifts to Presentation of Mary Academy to have double the impact. Be sure to check with your employer to see if your gifts to the Academy are eligible for corporate matching contributions.

ANNUAL DINNER/AUCTION

The Annual Dinner Auction is the largest fundraising event of the year and the sole development initiative for the school’s building project fund. All auction proceeds are ear-marked for the new gymnasium/arts center at the Academy. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer for the planning and production of the annual auction, please contact Angela Moynihan by email at amoynihan@pmaschool.org.

THE THERESE DUPUIS GODPARENT PROGRAM

dupuis3The Godparent Fund was established to provide assistance for families who might not otherwise be able to afford Presentation of Mary Academy’s unique education. The Godparent Program is the primary appeal for the Financial Assistance Fund, which provides generous support to a diverse student body. Gifts made to the Academy in the name of the Godparent Program benefit a child’s education directly. Therese Dupuis, class of 1946, has been dedicated in making sure children of all economic backgrounds receive the Catholic education they so desire.

ENDOWMENT FUND

Over and above supporting operations through the Annual Fund, Presentation of Mary Academy has been strengthened by gifts supporting its newly established Endowment Fund.

The Endowment is composed of permanent and temporarily restricted funds. The funds are provided by donors with the intent that they exist in perpetuity and that a portion of the total return on invested funds be expended in support of the operating budget and the mission of the Academy. Endowment gifts may be unrestricted or restricted for specific purposes such as financial aid, faculty professional development, technology, campus renewal, or other recurring costs.

Making a gift to PMA can be as simple as writing a check, or using the PayPal button on the school’s website.
