ART CLASSES
The after school art program is taught by Mrs. Kim Polombo. Students may sign up for one class per week (Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday) from 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm. Classes are offered in 12-week sessions. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a fee attached to the classes.
ATHLETICS
The PMA Athletic Program has much to offer our student athletes in numerous sports. There is something for all age groups. See our Athletics Program Overview for more details.
BAND
The Band Program is available to students in grades K-8, with or without experience. Half hour small group lessons are given after school. We offer a wide range of instruments including flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, bells and drums.
CHEERLEADING
Catch the Spirit! We have three cheerleading squads. Our Jr. Cheer Exhibition Squad (grades 1 – 2) participates in exhibitions on the weekends. The Mites Cheer Squad (grades 3 – 5) cheers for our CYO Mites and Jr. Mites basketball teams. Our Competition Squad (grades 6 – 8, 5th grade by try outs only) enters several Cheer competitions. Each squad has practices with games and/or competitions on the weekends. This program generally runs from late October/early November through March.
CHOIR
Our students in grades 1-8 learn a variety of songs and perform for the student body throughout the year. Practices are held after school. Choir students also perform at the 8th grade graduation.
GIRL SCOUTS
Girl Scouting helps develop courage, confidence, and character in its members. If you’re looking for a fun and exciting group for your daughter, the Girl Scout Program is the place for her. Here she will learn many skills that will help her through life. Currently there are three Girls Scout troops at PMA, of different age levels, who meet once a week after school. Information about joining is sent at the start of the school year.
PIANO
Piano lessons are offered to students in grades 2-8 by Cindy Westhoff. This program is run independently of the school. The program allows for home practice as well as scheduled lessons with Mrs. Westhoff at school. Piano students participate in several recitals throughout the school year. Lessons are scheduled for after school hours.
SKI CLUB
The Ski Club is a five-week program taking place on Mondays at Pats Peak, beginning in January each year. It is open to students in grades 1-8. Parents of first and second graders must drive their students and stay with them at the mountain. All other students will be bussed from the PMA campus. Lessons and rentals are available.
