The goal of the Parent Group is to create a strong school spirit through activities and programs. Our events are so much fun for everyone! We sponsor all the in-school enrichment programs and annual field trips. We help make the learning experience an enjoyable and rewarding one for PMA children. Membership is open to all parents. Meetings are held during the school year on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the second floor conference room.

Fun Fest: This annual public fundraiser in September is the premier family event for the Parent Group. Adults and children alike eagerly anticipate this PMA “fun festival”. The monies raised from the Fun Fest are used for class field trips and a variety of enrichment programs that are held throughout the school year.

Events are organized for all ages to enjoy… from bouncy inflatables and face painting, to a crowd-pleasing petting zoo, the Sisters Fish Pond and an old-fashioned Penny Sale with chances to win toys, kitchen gadgets, baby products, getaways and a variety of gift cards from many local services and businesses. Theme baskets created by each class are always a huge hit. The themes vary from sports to animals and always contain a variety of unexpected goodies!

Of course, no Fun Fest would be complete without a variety of yummy treats made especially for our bake sale. Get ready for mouth-watering whoopee pies, fancy cupcakes, homemade breads, cookie pops, pies, chocolate-covered pretzels, and our “world-famous” Apple Crisp (with ice cream, of course!).

For the little ones (and not so little ones) there is the unusual Touch-a-Truck display that gives everyone a chance to see, learn about and climb aboard a variety of different “big rigs” from fire and police vehicles to trash haulers and crime unit vehicles.

The families of PMA volunteer their time and effort to organize, plan, bake, make and work this very special day to make FUN FEST a huge success for all!

Pumpkin Stroll:  Enjoy a crisp, Fall evening stroll around the grounds of PMA with friends and family!  Families are invited to carve pumpkins that are then lit for everyone to see!  Following your stroll, you and your family are welcome into the cafeteria to enjoy some light refreshments with PMA faculty and friends.

Movie Night:  Grab a blanket, pillow and stuffed animal and please join us for Family Movie Night at PMA!  Some even wear their Movie Night-2pjs! We provide the popcorn, drinks and laughs!

Bingo: Enjoy a fun night for the entire family!  In November, bring the family for pizza, drinks, popcorn and assorted desserts at Book Bingo.  If you are the lucky winner, you can choose from a large assortment of gently used or new books!  If you have a sweet tooth, join us in March for Bakery Bingo!  The lucky winners this time get to choose from tables of yummy treats!

Santa Breakfast: Over 200 adults and children enjoy donuts, muffins and juice and receive a great picture with Santa. All families are asked to bring a gift that Santa can bring to other children who are less fortunate. We donated loads of toys to the Nashua Children’s Home! A perfect event to get into the holiday spirit.

Father/Daughter Dance: What a wonderful event for all the girls at PMA. It is a magical time for the girls to get dressed up and have a night out with the very special man in their life. The girls twirl around in their princess dresses while dancing the night away.

Mother/Son Game Night: Let’s celebrate boys and their Moms! We host a fun-filled evening of games, laughter and food for Moms and their boys! You bring a game of your choice and the rest takes care of itself!

Easter Egg Frenzy: The Easter Egg sale is one of the most successful events that the Parent Group sponsors. The kids go CRAZY for those little plastic eggs! We have to put limits on the first day of sales. All bets are off on the second day! The suspense of what is inside the egg makes it so much fun! Is it a piece of candy, a toy, a free dress down pass, or maybe lunch out at TBones with Sister Maria?! No matter what you get, everyone is a winner!

8th Grade Graduation: Let’s treat the 8th grade graduates to a dinner-dance to commemorate their time at PMA. It’s a night to remember! The school gym is transformed into a magical place where friends can reminisce one last time before their big send off! We also host a reception after the 8th grade graduation for all family and guests of the graduates. Light refreshments are served and the evening is made special with a slide show presentation of the graduates throughout their years at PMA.

Catholic Schools Week: Now, this is something to celebrate! Every year, we show our appreciation for the teachers and staff as well as the students. Each day of the week is filled with pampering for our teachers and staff. We serve them breakfast which also includes donuts for the students. There is a different surprise in the staff lounge every day of this fun-filled week including a candy buffet, a baked potato bar, lunches, coffee and biscotti, pastries, chocolate-covered strawberries as well as numerous raffle items! We love our teachers and staff! Everyone wears their CSW buttons to show their pride.

Chunky’s Cinemas: We organize the sale of movie tickets to Chunky’s Cinema at a discount. It is an easy, fun way to raise money for the school and win prizes too! Plus, everybody loves the movies!

In School Enrichment: Our in house enrichment programs range from Christian Musical Groups and live plays to bringing in the Boston Museum of Science’s Mad Scientists! The students get to expand their learning all in the comfort of their own school.

Field Trips: The Parent Group also supports our outside adventures. Pre-K to grade eight students are excited to take part in a wide range of day trips. We have a variety of experiences ranging from the zoo, museums, The State House & Planetarium, Seacoast Science Center or a walk on the Freedom Trail.
