Our choir, orchestrated by Maria Leticia Gonzalez Lozada, is open to all students in grades 2 through 8. The Junior Choir consists of first, second and third grade singers. The Senior Choir is for grades four through eight. Our choir performs a beautiful Christmas concert for all the students and parents. We were even invited to the Hudson Public Television channel to perform! There are many chances to sing throughout the year such as the Grandparents’ Breakfast, Mass and Graduation. We finish the year with a spring concert in which we collaborate with our very own PMA band!
Our Senior choir had the exciting opportunity to practice and perform at the Carnegie Hall in New York! The singers participated in three days of voice lessons and rehearsals and did a final performance. What an amazing opportunity! We have been invited back for a 2019 experience.
The PMA band is an opportunity for all our students in Kindergarten through eighth grade. Instruction is provided by the Paul Effman Music Service. We have a variety of instruments available such as the violin, trumpet, saxophone, drums, just to name a few. Band members practice weekly with Paul Effman instructors and prepare for the end of the year spring concert. Select band members are asked to perform in the Christmas concert as well. Students are given the opportunity to rent or purchase their instruments.
