The Centers for Disease Control “Heads Up” Program: Heads-Up offers useful information and resources about concussions for coaches, families, and athletes, including a 30-minute video training course, printable fact sheets, and more. The link to CDC’s website is here: http://www.cdc.gov/headsup/
ImPACT Testing: The ImPACT test is strongly recommended for any child, ages 10 and up, who plays sports, especially contact sports. Most high schools now require their athletes to complete a baseline ImPACT test prior to playing, and many middle schools are beginning to require the test for their athletes that play contact sports. The baseline test results are good for two years, then it is recommended the athlete retake the test. Southern NH Health offers various test dates.
