The goal of the Parent Group is to create a strong school spirit through activities and programs. Our events are so much fun for everyone! We sponsor all the in-school enrichment programs and annual field trips. Membership is open to all!

Our biggest event of the year! Every year it gets bigger and better! This annual public fundraiser in September is the premier family event for the Parent Group. Adults and children alike eagerly anticipate this PMA “fun festival”. The monies raised from the Fun Fest are used for class field trips and a variety of enrichment programs that are held throughout the school year. Events are organized for all ages to enjoy… from bouncy inflatables, face painting, crowd-pleasing petting zoo, the Sisters Fish Pond and an old-fashioned Penny Sale with chances to win toys, kitchen gadgets, baby products, getaways and a variety of gift cards from many local services and businesses. No Fun Fest would be complete without a variety of yummy treats made especially for our bake sale. Whoopee pies, fancy cupcakes, homemade breads, cookie pops, pies, chocolate-covered pretzels, and our “world-famous” Apple Crisp (with ice cream, of course!). The families of PMA volunteer their time and effort to organize, plan, bake, make and work this very special day to make FUN FEST a huge success for all!
Always a hit with the students and families! Enjoy an evening stroll around the grounds of PMA with friends and family! Families are invited to carve pumpkins that are then lit for everyone to see! Following your stroll, you and your family are welcome into the cafeteria to enjoy some light refreshments with PMA faculty and friends.
Bakery and Book Bingo
Bring the family for pizza, drinks, popcorn and assorted desserts and books at Bingo. If you are the lucky winner, you can choose from a large assortment of gently used or new books! If you have a sweet tooth, choose from tables of yummy treats!
Feast of St. Nicholas
Over 200 adults and children enjoy donuts, muffins and juice and receive a great picture with Santa. All families are asked to bring a gift that Santa can bring to other children who are less fortunate. We donated loads of toys to the Nashua Children’s Home! A perfect event to get into the holiday spirit.
Catholic Schools Week
We show our appreciation for the teachers and staff as well as the students. Each day of the week is filled with pampering for our teachers and staff. We serve them breakfast which also includes donuts for the students. There is a different surprise in the staff lounge every day of this fun-filled week including a candy buffet, a baked potato bar, lunches, coffee and biscotti, pastries, chocolate-covered strawberries as well as numerous raffle items! We love our teachers and staff!
Mother/Son Game Night
Let’s celebrate boys and their Moms! We host a fun-filled evening of games, laughter and food for Moms and their boys! You bring a game of your choice and the rest takes care of itself!
What a wonderful event for all the girls at PMA. It is a magical time for the girls to get dressed up and have a night out with the very special man in their life. The girls twirl around in their princess dresses while dancing the night away.
Easter Egg Frenzy
The Easter Egg sale is one of the most successful events that the Parent Group sponsors. The kids go CRAZY for those little plastic eggs! The suspense of what is inside the egg makes it so much fun! Is it a piece of candy, a toy, a free dress down pass, or maybe lunch out at TBones with Sister Maria?!
8th Grade Graduation
It’s a night to remember! The school gym is transformed into a magical place where friends can reminisce one last time before their big send off! We also host a reception after the 8th grade graduation for all family and guests of the graduates. Light refreshments are served and the evening is made special with a slide show presentation of the graduates throughout their years at PMA.
Here are some exciting projects the Parent Group has done in the past:
- The Parent Group was instrumental in getting the playground designed and installed. It was a $100,000.00 project and the PG paid for half. We organized the construction of it, which was built by families here at PMA.
- The beautiful “tile wall” on the 1st floor was a fundraiser the Parent Group organized and a generous family donated the installation.
- Our intercom system for all classrooms was purchased by the Parent Group.
- PMA’s first Smart Board for the Junior High was sponsored by the Parent Group before all classrooms generously got one.
- We assisted with implementing the online lunch ordering system.
- New playground toys for the PreK 3 & 4 year olds were purchased.
- Jay Shattuck of CountryBrook Farm has built the sand boxes higher and covered the top wood so we are splinter free. He added fresh sand as well.
- The teachers now have access to a brand new laminator. They are thrilled!
- We replaced one of the basketball poles and backboard on the playground and replaced the other backboard so they match and have new padding on the poles.
- The 1st floor water bubbler was replaced with a new water fountain that can fill water bottles as well.
The funds that are raised every year are being used to better the school and create benefits to all students. Thank you for your contribution of time, effort and support as we would not be able to do so many wonderful things for the school and students.
The Parent Group purchased a John Deere Gator for the school. It will be a great help at Athletic events and outdoor events such as Fun Fest, Field Day and Summer Camp. Check out the new laminator! Our staff is very excited! You thirsty? Fill up your water bottle with fresh, cold, filtered water! Our students will be practicing their basketball skills on our new backboards and hoops.
