Tampa Catholic High School

Children learn not only by observing their role models but also through active participation. Establishing a children’s choir allows them to learn, grow, move, and serve within God’s kingdom, which is vital for their spiritual development. As Proverbs 22:6 states, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Involving children in worship ministry from an early age can help them remain engaged during their teenage years and continue throughout adulthood. A children’s choir is an invaluable tool for nurturing lifelong worshippers and can also serve as a blessing to the congregation.

Our PMA Harmonia I (grades 3 and 4) and Harmonia Honors (grades 5-8) Choirs, orchestrated by Maria Leticia Gonzalez Lozada, are open to all students in grades 3 through 8. Our choir is highlighted most popularly in our annual Living Nativity performance in December and our spring concert in April. They share their beautiful gifts throughout the school year at events such as Grandparents Breakfast, monthly Mass, and 8th grade Graduation.

Some choir students are also asked to be part of the Music Ministry.

Our choir recorded a performance with Hudson Community Television Channel. Check out our "Sounds of the Season" show.

Carnegie Hall

Our Senior choir had the exciting opportunity to practice and perform at the Carnegie Hall in New York! The singers participated in three days of voice lessons and rehearsals and did a final performance. What an amazing opportunity!
