Tampa Catholic High School

Traditional snow days are a thing of the past. On days when the roads are dangerous to travel on, and storms are predicted to last most of the day, PMA may announce a “GRIFFIN DAY”. This will be a day when students and teachers will work from home. Teachers in grades 1-8 will post assignments in Google Classroom for students to work on at home, independently. Teachers will post work by 9am and work should be submitted by students by 8pm.

Teachers will NOT hold Zoom calls or live classes with students.

All work must be submitted by students, on time, to receive credit. PreK and Kindergarten students will work on their “GRIFFIN PACKETS”. These packets are sent home with students in advance of typical inclement weather season.

If inclement weather makes it necessary for Administrators to either delay the opening of school, or cancel the school day, you will receive an email and/or text from the school’s emergency notification system. The information will also be posted on WMUR - NH channel 9 or its website:  www.wmur.com. Please remember to look and listen for the PMA Hudson announcement.
PMA is listed under “P”, separately from the Hudson School System.

If there is a delay, the Before- School Program will automatically be canceled that morning. The After-School Program will be offered in the afternoon. PLEASE AVOID CALLING THE SCHOOL FOR INFORMATION CONCERNING A POTENTIAL WEATHER EMERGENCY.

In most cases, school will not be canceled after the day has commenced. However, parents are welcome to dismiss their student(s) early should road conditions be a concern. Please call the main office if you plan to pick up your child early due to weather related concerns. If you do not reach a staff member, leaving a voicemail is appropriate.

Please take the time to review the information provided above and contact us if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Lisa Toohey, Principal
